The Start of Halloween Season - October 1st, 2019
Welcome to my blog. This blog was created with the idea of using it to encourage my own creativity and inspiration. I hope if you choose to join me you can get some inspiration too. I love to do a little bit of everything but I am not amazing at any of it.
Ever since I can remeber I have had big dreams and visions but I can never seem to get those to become real life. I used to get so defeated that what I managed to create looked nothing like it did in my head, or tasted nothing like I wanted it to, or it didn't grow how I desired. So now at 29, I am starting this blog to follow my journey to creative. If there is one word to describe my creative style it would be UNCRAFTY!
Now onto the good stuff.
Today is the first day of the Halloween season and what I consider to be the real fall season. I love everything about Halloween. The costumes, parties, pumpkin beer, and crafts! Two months ago my husband, daughter, animals, and I moved from Tampa FL to Northwest Ohio for my husband's law school degree. In these last two months, it has been a lot of settling down and getting used to our new life and routines. I havent had much time to do anything for me despite not working since we have been here.
A couple days ago I broke out some old polymer clays that had been sealed and stored away since purchasing. I looked up some basic tutorials on youtube, broke out my cheap eBay tools, and started messing around with the clay. Because I knew the Halloween season was fast approaching I wanted to make something themed. I decided the easiest would most likely be a ghost, but I wanted to make him look like he was floating so I added a base, and a pumpkin to disguise the wire to hold the ghost up.
After 2 hours of desperately trying to get my hands, tools, and clay to do what I wanted it to do I baked my little project and then proudly showed it off to my most amazing husband and through text to my best friend. They both support me so much and encourage me to keep going.
Without further ado here is my ghost...
